We have stayed at many B&Bs and I travel quite a bit for work and I must say that this property was one of the most welcoming places I have ever experienced. Steve and Stephanie do a marvelous job making every guest feel welcome from start to finish. ... The location can’t be beat, there are so many restaurants, bars, and brewpubs within a 5 - 10 min walk. I can’t think of anything that could have been improved.

The best B&B I have been to. I cannot say enough good things about the Kalamazoo house. I loved the charm of the house and room. It is a little different not to have guests eat breakfast together but I also liked being able to pick a time and meal options the night before. We stayed for one night and walked to Bells brewery for dinner.

I stayed at the Kalamazoo House Bed and Breakfast because the Raddison was fully booked; and lucky am I that it was! What a charming and beautiful place. No comfort is spared- it honestly has more amenities than the numerous upscale hotels that I frequent. ... Steve was a fantastic host. If you have reservations about staying at a B&B (I have never done so) give this place a shot.

It has been wonderful coming here to the Kalamazoo House ever since our daughter first attended Kalamazoo College. Four years of visits to this beautiful house with its friendly hosts, good food, soft, smooth give so much to your guests. Many, many thanks!

I don’t normally enjoy B&Bs, but this place was great. A bunch of friends stayed here for a brew tour of Kalamazoo. Steve and Steph were super friendly, served us excellent food, and even better - had late-night cookies for us when we got back home. The rooms were very clean and cozy. Great location for walking to the night life in Kalamazoo. Everything was pretty much within a 15 walk. Also worth mentioning is the awesome game/lounge room for playing cards, having a drink, or just hanging out. Highly recommend.

As a professional tour manager, traveling with a small group, I hesitate to stay in bed and breakfasts, as I am just not hopeful it will all work, but Steve and Stephanie of the Kalamazoo House can make ANYTHING happen! ... The building is charming, and all my ‘tough guy’ colleagues were found at various times, with their laptops, hanging out in the lounge and lighting up the electric fireplaces. Everyone showed up for breakfast, a small miracle, which will cater to any dietary request. I really worked Steve and his services, and every single last minute request was handled with such grace and joy. The rooms are very comfortable, great wifi, tvs, and wonderful Jacuzzi tubs and or fireplaces. All my pet traveler peeves were solved, coffee makers on every floor, tons of electric outlets near the desk, and, devilish home baked cookies before bed. You could stay at the hotel in town, but you would be missing out on meeting some wonderful people, and being treated with such professionalism and kindness. Bravo! I hope you have many years of great success and wonderful guests.

I wanted to take a moment and thank you and your staff for a wonderful weekend. The hospitality shown to use meant the world; felt like home away from home without all the distractions. The attention shown to us was genuine and sincere. Henry and I were enamored by the whole experience. Again, thank you and we look forward to seeing you again.

I recently had my second stay at the Kalamazoo House, and it was as great as to be expected. What puts the Kalamazoo House above and beyond are many features: the full, hot, breakfast in the morning room, the cookies at night, the cozy and homey feel of the rooms - of the whole house, actually—the ease of “check-in” and the feeling that you’re in a house (which you are), not in a hotel.
But the personable-ness and attention to ME is what you don’t get elsewhere. The small staff knows the guests by name, knows why I am staying with them, and asks about my day (*gasp*). It really is HOME AWAY FROM HOME. I’ll be back.... :)

I can’t thank you enough for such a lovely stay. As I wrote in the little journal, your attention to detail and comfort is unmatchable. I’ll be raving about this place to be sure! And I can’t wait for the opportunity to return to the charming house with the inspiring garden—complete with tomatoes. The hospitality here is idyllic. Thank you for everything!
